Sport nature in Dordogne
The Dordogne department and especially our campsite enjoys a natural environment conducive to many outdoor activities.
Third forested department in France, the forest occupies 45% of Périgord. Not to be outdone, the campsite La Lénotte has 2 hectares of forest at the end of the campsite to reach the hiking trails directly from the campsite. The forest can also offer you the most beautiful tree climbing courses in France.
Périgord is crossed by several rivers. The main of these, the Dordogne, one of the most beautiful navigable rivers of France, is at the end of the road, 3km, with a beach. With the Vézère, second river of the department, the Périgord offers you incredible possibilities of descent by canoe (and besides, the hirers of canoe do not miss …). The campsite itself is crossed by a river, the Nauze. If the size of the latter does not allow to consider water sports, it contributes however to the charm of camping.
With nearly 6,300 kilometers of landscaped trails and 1,300 kilometers of Grande Randonnée trails, the Dordogne offers endless possibilities for walks. So, on foot, horseback, bike or Quad, you will explode. Our campsite is at the foot of the road to Compostela (GR 36). And seen our low prices, it will be an ideal stage for a well deserved rest.
The rocky landscape and the big cliffs will allow you to practice climbing or via ferrata. And, with all these caves and chasms what do you think of a little introduction to speleology?
Air baptisms, overflights of castles and balloon flights are also possible.
More specific to our campsite than the whole of the Dordogne, we are lucky to be 2 steps from 2 golf courses. Come discover them.
